How I rebuilt my own service website into a clear SEO structure: stronger service pages, a location silo for three countries, and structured data on every page.
At a glance
| Project | nazmusshafayat.com (my own website) |
| Platform | WordPress with a custom theme |
| Services | On-page SEO, site architecture, local SEO, schema |
| Markets | Australia, United Kingdom, United States |
| Status | Built in 2026, ranking results being tracked |
The challenge
The website had ten service pages with short, similar content and no clear path for search engines between services and the countries I work with. There was no location structure, no structured data and no consistent call to action.
- Service pages were thin and did not answer common buyer questions
- No pages for the countries and cities I serve
- No FAQ or Service schema for Google and AI search
- A header display issue for logged-in users
The approach
01
Audit
Reviewed every service page, the theme styles and the navigation.
02
Rebuild
Rewrote service pages to one consistent, conversion-focused structure.
03
Structure
Built a location silo with hub, country, service and city levels.
04
Validate
Checked every page, link and schema block after publishing.
What was delivered
- 10 service pages rebuilt with intro, challenges, who it is for, what is included, a four-step process, what you receive and 4–6 FAQs
- Comparison tables on six service pages, for example Local SEO vs Google Ads
- A 34-page location silo: one hub, 3 country hubs, 6 country service pages and 24 city pages
- Unique local context on every city page instead of copied templates, to avoid doorway pages
- Service, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList schema, with the Upwork profile linked through sameAs
- Breadcrumbs and internal links from hub to country to service to city, and between sibling cities
- A clear location statement: based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, working remotely with clients abroad
Results so far
- 44 service and location pages live, all loading correctly
- 0 broken internal links in the final check
- Valid structured data on every service and location page
- Ranking and enquiry results are being tracked and will be added here once there is enough data
What I learned
A clear structure and honest, specific content matter more than the number of pages. Fewer, unique location pages are safer and more useful than dozens of copies.
